“When I started my career as a teacher, education fascinated me. I had seen people change their lives, accomplish their dreams on this firm foundation of education. Diversifying my career into social reforms, co-operative movements and politics gave birth to the thought of playing a role in the education of my fellow citizens.

My life took me further as the Panchayat President, Zilla Parishad President, Sugar Factory Founder, Bank Chairman, MLC and MPI, giving me an opportunity to travel around the world. On my visits to places like USA, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, Holland, Italy, Switzerland and Thailand, my belief in the importance of education was reinforced.

I was determined to create a strong foundation for our people back in the rural areas. The result was establishment of the Mula Education Society (MES), in the year 1979. What started as a small school in the Mula basin now has 23 schools and colleges in various streams like Arts, Commerce, Science, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Dental Education and other colleges at Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Pune and Sonai.

Today, as the world gets smaller, the importance of education is more than ever. I am glad and proud that Mula Education Society is keeping pace with the times. The Sahyadri Institute of Management Studies stands out as a bold example.

Management is a key to success; and Sahyadri Institute of Management Studies is the key to Management.

Education continues to inspire me even today, as it has done for the past four decades. And. I hope that this inspiration makes life better for thousands of people in the years to come.
